This program will target young players, aiming to develop the next generation of pickleball enthusiasts. It will include school partnerships, youth clinics, and junior leagues, offering structured coaching and competitive opportunities for children and teenagers.

Registration Fee: USD 35 per event per participant.

To encourage more players to challenge themselves by competing in higher age divisions, the 3rd and 4th event registrations will be free.

Referee Workshop

Venue: The Da Nang Tennis Training Centre, Vietnam

This course provides a structured framework to train individuals in becoming competent game marshal or referees. It focuses on developing a strong understanding of rules and mechanics, while emphasizing fair play, sportsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Participants will learn to oversee tournament progression, manage game flow, and understand the roles and responsibilities of referees in ensuring smooth operations. Practical training includes mock matches and simulations to enhance officiating skills.

A pre-reading assignment and online test must be completed before the course, and familiarity with the official rulebook is recommended.

This course also benefits players, deepening their understanding of the rules for a better experience in non-officiated matches.

Upon completion, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to serve as a game marshal or referee. However, to become an AFP-certified referee, individuals must undergo additional on-court practical assessments and officiate in a required number of sanctioned tournaments under AFP-trained assessors.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance issued by the Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP).

The Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP) is proud to introduce the first-ever APUN University Championship 2025, a landmark event dedicated to fostering the growth of pickleball in higher education.

In collaboration with universities across Asia, this championship provides a competitive platform for student-athletes to showcase their skills, engage in high-level competition, and build a thriving university pickleball community.

Who Can Participate?
This tournament is open to all university students, academic or administrative staff, and alumni of any university worldwide. Whether you're a current student, faculty member, or graduate, this is your chance to compete and be part of an exciting international event.

As the inaugural edition, APUN 2025 marks a significant step in integrating pickleball into tertiary sports programs, creating pathways for young players to excel at both national and international levels.
