The IPTPA Level I Certified Pickleball Instructor course is designed for those who want to introduce the sport to new players and communities. It covers fundamental skills, teaching techniques, and lesson planning for beginners and intermediate players. The course includes a workshop based on the IPTPA Handbook, a written exam, and an observed teaching lesson. Successful participants receive a Level I certification, allowing them to teach beginner players and assist in growing the sport.

Part 1 - Skills Test | USD100
The IPTPA Skills Test is a pass/fail exam that requires candidates to demonstrate proficiency in various pickleball strokes, achieving at least 80% accuracy in each sequence. The test includes forehand and backhand dinks, drop shots, volleys, groundstrokes, serves, and overheads. The skills must be performed with proper technique and consistency.
Part 2 - Observation Teaching Lesson | USD100
The IPTPA Observed Teaching Lesson is a critical component for achieving certification as a pickleball instructor. It involves teaching a one-hour lesson observed by an IPTPA Director at a designated training/testing center. The director evaluates the candidate's teaching methods, communication skills, and lesson organization based on a detailed checklist.

Taichung City Tennis Center, built in accordance with Olympic Games specifications, is the largest tennis center in central Taiwan with a complete facility. It will be converted to 22-26 outdoor pickleball courts, the center courts will have a seating capacity for 200 spectators.
